–noun

a person who loves or collects books …

A lover of books. That's me.

I get antsy if I go too long without a book to read. Sometimes I read four or five at a time.

What kind of books? All kinds. Non-fiction ranging from personal finance and health to optimism and creativity. Suspense fiction by writers like Robert B Parker, J.D. Robb, Sue Grafton, Sandra Brown, Linda Howard. And Dianna Love, Anna DeStephano and so many other great GRW writers. And of course, romance. Too many authors to name in that category.

With such a passion for books, it was only a matter of time before I started writing them as well. Books about how to write books began crowding my shelves along with the others. And so did research books on subjects like Criminal Investigation and the Mob. (Did I mention I write romantic suspense?)

I didn't dream of being a novelist as a kid. But after growing up, going to college, getting married, and getting a job in the computer field, I realized I had to have a place for my creativity, for my dramatic imaginings, for the characters who lived in my mind.

I had no choice but to write fiction. So here I am…

Turn ons: Reading. Writing. Books!

Turn offs: When there are no books to read!
